2022 Devy Rushing Efficiency: Jahmyr Gibbs
Overall, Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the best receiving weapons we’ve seen at running back in recent memory. He’s also been a precocious producer. Though currently, his numbers as a pure runner do not match the hype he’s getting in devy and forward-looking dynasty circles.
2022 Prospect Profile: Dameon Pierce
Despite a low-volume role at Florida, Dameon Pierce is one of the best running backs in this class. He has workhorse size, offers three-down utility, and was one of the most effective pure runners in the class. This despite an athletic profile that doesn’t offer much big-play juice.
2022 Prospect Profile: Isaiah Spiller
Isaiah Spiller is falling like a rock after faceplanting in athletic testing. But he shouldn’t have been highly regarded even prior to that. Don’t let the allure of opportunity tempt you into saving a bad player from that free-fall in rookie drafts after he goes in the third round later this month.
2022 Devy Rushing Efficiency: TreVeyon Henderson
Overall, TreVeyon Henderson is a dynamic and versatile player who deserves to be taken at the top of devy drafts. But the numbers reflect that he’s not currently refined or consistent. He’s a young player who still has time to prove to be that, but projection is involved there. Draft accordingly.
2022 Prospect Profile: Bryant Koback
Outside of the top three or four players, Bryant Koback’s profile is as intriguing as that of any running back in this class. And no one seems to care. Get him on your taxi squads and see what happens.
2022 Prospect Profile: Brian Robinson
Overall, Brian Robinson is a player who checks the minimum boxes of size and pass-catching ability that allow him to be deployed on all three downs. He’s also a decent runner. But that’s where the positives end with his profile.
2022 Prospect Profile: Breece Hall
Breece Hall checks every box and is easily the RB1 in this class. My issue is that the boxes that he checks emphatically are the most superficial. There’s too much subtle risk for me to fully get on board with him as a no-doubt prospect.
2022 Prospect Profile: Kevin Harris
Kevin Harris is going pretty under-the-radar in this running back class, and I’d imagine you’ll be able to snag him with a third-round rookie pick. He was my pre-Combine RB2, and hasn’t done much to be knocked off that spot.
2022 Prospect Profile: Zamir White
Given that he went to a blue blood program and was fast at the Combine, I think it’s likely Zamir White gets selected in the third round or earlier in the upcoming NFL Draft. But his limitations as a pass-catcher and a runner cap his ceiling.
2022 Devy Rushing Efficiency: Devon Achane
Devon Achane has been very productive and uber efficient relative to talented players on a good Texas A&M team through two seasons. His versatile skillset and athletic ability combine to make him one of the best running backs in college football.
